yes, I think there is, my friends brother worked for a local gun shop when Obama was in office, he said business was booming (Of course this is just anecdotal evidence, I'm not going to bother googling) and let's just say now that Trump is president, he no longer works there lol.

Yep, direct correlation is observed here. Your sample size of your friend's brother and his job at the local gun shoppe......

You've done it! You've found the truth!

<----- part owner of a gun store

Obama in office = sales boomed, like holy shit i didnt know we could sell this many guns boomed.

Trump in office = sales wen't up initially then have gone below Obama levels, are fairly slow now but steady.

I'm not saying his perception is wrong. I'm laughing at his brother's local gun shoppe story.

It's obvious that scared whitey bought more guns when scary black man was in office.

In a major upset Tuesday night, voters elected a conservative political newcomer to the Texas Senate, flipping a Democratic district red for the first time in 139 years.

This seat wasn't supposed to be competitive. It went 54-42 for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and 55-44 for Barack Obama in 2012.

Retired game warden Pete Flores defeated former state and U.S. Rep. Pete Gallego. Flores will replace Democrat state Sen. Carlos Uresti, who was forced to step down in June after being sentenced to 12 years in prison on federal fraud and money laundering charges.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Republican leaders in suburban Houston have apologized for an advertisement likening the Hindu deity Ganesha to the GOP’s elephant symbol amid a congressional race featuring an Indian-American Democrat.

The ad was sponsored by the Fort Bend County Republican Party and published last week in a newspaper popular with area Indian-Americans.

It wished Hindus a happy Ganesh Chaturthi, or festival celebrating the elephant-headed Ganesha’s birth, asking, “Would you worship a donkey or an elephant?”

How could one think this would be a good idea... lmao, baffling.

might simply be backlash to the scandal around the outgoing democratic incumbent. I wouldnt read too much into a singular state senate special election at an odd time of the year which was prompted by an incumbent going to jail.

I think that would be a reasonable take, & one I would share. I wasn't conflating this to a blueprint for what I think will happen in November, but there's been a shit ton...of shit posting going on lately, so, when in rome
