I think they're leaning too far into anti-Trump / what's at stake / lesser of two evils rhetoric, but otherwise it seems like it's been well-received by many.
It's hard to see how it could have gone much better.
Harris has pivoted more to the center policy and rhetoric wise. She's representing a lot of normie views like on foreign policy towards Ukraine/Israel/Gaza/NATO, which appeals to Republicans who don't like Trump. All the while maintaining the enthusiasm and support of the base.
Her running mate is a good ol' boy who served in the military and was a high school football coach. He's very progressive but doesn't appear that way.
Sure, there was Trump criticism, as there should be. But it's not as dreadful and existential... it's more treating him as a joke than a tyrant.
The vibes are good, they have the momentum.
