Well being rediculed and made fun of though political cartoons, memes, parodies, comedy skits or any public scrutiny etc etc is basically an unwritten expectation that comes with the job of a president. This is an obvious over reaction, however there is something to be said about the internet and today's media that abuses its influence. You can get your world crushed if the media dicides to attack you. Even if the facts are unfounded and the stories completely fabricated the damage can be measured through loss of income/business, threats, community perceptions.

In Putins case it's a media warfare he has to wage. But these are dangerous waters as he probably best use his time and resources elsewhere.
