This specific situation is not okay, and that's the point. There's a difference between how this school/district responded to the incident and bathroom policies at-large.

It is both possible to hold the value of continuously updated opinions while also having unshakeable opinions. It appears that the latter is true for you on this topic. In principle, you "are still amenable to input", but the reality is that you've already formed a conclusion on this topic. To be sure, this is a dynamic that is true for all of us.

In principle, we're all "amenable to input" about the Earth being flat, but in reality we've already achieved enough data to hold a fixed perspective.
