So Texas and Florida and other republican border states should return their federal funds for border related purposes then? Or should we take it all back and divide it by 50 so its really a 50 state problem.

If it is in proportion to the actual recorded number of people. Your proposal makes zero sense.

Close it off.... Perhaps with a wall. Then put a giant door on it and let people know the proper steps of coming into the country.

I dont lock my door on my house because I hate all of you on the outside. I lock my house because I love everyone inside.

It's either a 50 state problem, or a border state problem. If the federal government is subsidizing border states to handle the influx in immigrants, then they should deal with it instead of crying like toddlers. If they're trying to offload their problems to the actual productive states in the union, they shouldn't be receiving funding for border issues.

Problem with this is that Republicans have actively sought to abuse those seeking legal entry including arbitrary restrictions. If you wanted to implement a strong border with a reasonable pathway to get in, you shouldn't look anywhere near Republicans and should only look to a very small number of Democrats.

The reason our immigration system is fucked up isn't because we have such an overwhelming number coming in. It's because conservatives and companies want to keep them illegal so they can be abused. "Oh you don't want to work? Let me call immigration".

Oh, okay. Alaska has a big load right? Joking aside let me ask you, are border states allowed to deport? Who authorized deportation?

It’s like you strive for circular conversations.

Turns out the woman who tricked these people on Ron's behalf registered their addresses as a homeless shelter in Tacoma wa, so they would never be able to meet their court dates.
Their first act as American citizens should be a class action lawsuit against the state of Florida.

So, do you think that all problems surrounding illegal or irregular immigration would be solved if everyone who sets foot on American soil was immediately given full legal status?

The point is that the border states inevitably face the brunt of the logistical burden of high immigration volumes, while the federal government has the sole power to set immigration policy and ramp up enforcement, impose upper limits or otherwise reduce the numbers coming in. Texas and Arizona have been pleading for help from the federal government for 18 months because they're getting overrun, but the Biden admin has shown no intention of actually doing something about it.
