The fact that tourism exists elsewhere says otherwise. These things don't stop being tourist locations because the royals are gone. I actually think it would make them more interesting. Do you have any actual data related to cost and benefit or just making the claim?

this isnt correct, im no expert on royal affairs but that's not how it works in the UK. for hundreds of years the UK monarchy has voluntarily returned profits for royal estates to the government, who in turn pays for a slew of things for the royals. there is a formal agreement, but its not the law that the King/Queen must do this.

stop paying for their expenses and they stop sending back the profits. which is a net gain for England and a net loss for the crown. this was a deal struck hundreds of years ago for the UK monarchy to keep their holdings and their lives, whilst other royals either were stripped of holdings or sent to the guillotine.



ive watched several breakdown videos, including one just posted by fender. the only win for anti-Crown people is if the holdings were entirely removed from the royals. thats the only way England comes out on top financially.
