Capitalism seems to be the most effective means of producing and distributing goods that we currently have. Government action should have occurred to ensure companies are steered in a direction that results in the beat outcome for American citizens.

it’s interesting because America (yes US) managed to successfully bridge elements of socialism via the Marshall Plan onto the evil defeated forces (former national-socialist Germany and whatever Italy) and decimated useless allies (France etc.), all the while steamrolling ahead with incredibly efficient capitalism domestically, along with ridiculously high tax rates. somehow it worked! and it did for many years!!!
