Why would you waste your time listening to someone so idiotic though? It sounds like you haven't developed a bullshit detector yet...

But how do I know if he's idiotic until I actually hear him talk?

Ok, I have to say that indeed it's a bit of a stretch to claim Australia doesn't exist. However, when it comes to things like the official covid numbers, I believe there is room for doubt.

What you are arguing for is a (very stupid) version of direct realism. I.e. it only exists if I can see it. You're dumbing it down to "be more skeptical if you can't see it", but fundamentally it's the same.

There is no reason to distrust national death rates from Covid. You aren't an expert who's going to have a nuanced opinion on this versus that method of counting deaths.

So that's when you accept it as true because the numbers being off by any significant margin requires positing an insane nation-wide conspiracy theory.

well sunny is really fuckin dumb so are you surprised?

There are multiple agencies/groups that are handling the data. You can easily research them. Do you see any major discrepancies? If the numbers were off by more than 10%, that's when you can start questioning things like sources, methodology, etc. However, it's probably not best to do that and instead just increase the range of COVID deaths. We do the same thing in war where we say 100,000-600,000 civilians died. Often times, the number by itself isn't particularly relevant and it's the order of magnitude that drives the policy.

"Researching" them is still not the same as verifying them. And all these agencies handling the data are still people you do not know personally. You don't know if they are trustworthy or not. And there always exists the possibility that they could be lying to you, for whatever reason they might have.

So if you doubt the official numbers how do you propose finding the actual number? YouTube videos? Bitchute?

I don't see you digging through hospital records county by county

That is just not how these things work, everything is peer reviewed and fact checked these days.

I don't think it's possible to find the actual numbers. It's like I said in the OP, there are simply things that are un-verifiable for the average person. So, the next best thing is to be skeptical.

Why trust anything? Why not just slip into nihilism and let it all wash away, how do you know the empirical truth of anything?
