He wants a young liberal judge. To make it through a Supreme Court nomination you are going to need some credentials that are going to require previous presidential nominations/appointments.

Trump got his judicial picks handpicked by the federalist society & right-wing think tanks, so the only source of youngish federal judges would be from the most recent Democrat president, who was Obama.



also personally happy with the pick. still 6:3 & fucked for a generation or two & overshadowed by other geopolitical events going on at the moment.

Being a judge for a few years doesn't make someone the most qualified or even good.

Nearly a decade of experience on the federal circuit court & before that another decade plus of legal experience, with your other common supreme justice credentials like Harvard law, editor of Harvard law review, etc. UNQUALIFIED

ACB with 3 years of experience as a judge? Supremely qualified, another excellent pick of only the most supremely qualified by Trump.
