you realise that not only is the whole premise of this thread literal FAKE NEWS, it's also a massive hypocrisy had it been true - because the very people crying bloody murder here are the same that celebrated ACTUAL authoritarian overreach previously. that's directly related to OP and relevant. you WANTING it not to be doesn't matter. facts don't care about your feelings.
