If Rachel Maddow ran a story about how living in red states meant you were statistically a piece of shit, and then a producer tweeted out an apology or released a statement you'd find it absurd. You can't run mistruths as your headline and bury the retraction in small print on page 12.
Rachel Maddow does that every week and never apologizes about it.
