This is the first time we are really pumping real money into R&D and each new generation of vehicle goes further than the next. The first protos siting at sub 50 miles and now Tesla is over 400 on an economy sized vehicle.
Great minds are being attracted to the sector with the huge influx of money. Previously many of those individuals would have been sucked into oil and gas.

and charge density cant go up indefinitely, thats a fact, period
i mean even if we pretend that such a battery gets developed we still have problems with resources, availability of electricity, charging times and more
at this moment electrical cars are an ideological project driven by politicians and tesla has yet to earn a single dollar without cashing in on emission certificates
chemical energy will be the go to for decades to come, however in places like germany co2 neutral synthetic fuels are literally blocked by the government
