Something I have just read about Rand Paul describing why he is so blatantly hypocritical:

We just don't know what really happened on January 6th, it might have been Trump supporters, it might have been Antifa! We need to get to the bottom of it before we point fingers! ...Unless you're asking about whether we should open an official investigation into what happened on January 6th, then we all know it was just a slightly overexcited tourist group and we don't need to get to the bottom of it.

The hypocrisy isn't a bug, it's a feature. When facts are malleable, you can always do what you want, and have the moral high ground while doing it.


This is on Paul being called out for asking for aid after opposing other states getting aid when asked.

This is neurological research in action. It's well established that conservatives have a higher tolerance for cognitive dissonance. They can actively hold contradictory beliefs. It's wild to me that there are people like that, who can reaffirm then contradict a "fundamentally held belief" within the span of two sentences, but if you contradict one of their beliefs or point out the hypocrisy you're literally satan.

We really need to teach philosophical and scientific rigor in high school. We've raised multiple generations in the modern world that can't even identify their own beliefs to acknowledge where the contradictions are.

Difference is, the videos of Hunter smoking crack with prostitutes was real, while the Russian collusion evidence was not.

Also, you saying the vids were procured by "Russian intelligence" just goes and proves my point EVEN FURTHER. Anyone who knows anything knows that Hunter's laptop info was leaked because Hunter is a dumbass who left his laptop at a computer repair shop and refused to pick it up for like 2 years.
