Jesus christ I was thinking for a second you could be relatively reasonable. Looks like they didn't cover it until the damning video evidence came out.
There weren’t even charges until the video came out. The video which the guy who recorded it sincerely thought would exonerate them.
Now are you going to honestly tell me that three men murdered one man? After watching the video 1,000 times and hearing the evidence, seeing the incident being a struggle between two men, with the other two (now convicted murderers) easily ten feet from the fight with a vehicle between them?
I don’t think it is reasonable to say all three men murdered one person, when the dead man advanced on one (indisputable from the video evidence), struggled for the gun, and was shot and killed in the struggle.
One person shot and killed Arbery. Three men were given the same conviction of murder. I don’t believe I am being unreasonable when I say that at most they did an unlawful imprisonment, which is still a felony in Georgia.
And remember the details of the case, it all came down to having the jury decipher the law regarding citizens arrest. The way the law is written there was basically a 50-50 chance they did a lawful citizens arrest, in which case the video would have proven self defense. Which is the entire reason one now convicted murderer released the video in the first place, because they sincerely thought they were doing the right thing.
I don’t think any of that is unreasonable besides the fact that three men were convicted of murdering one person in this case.
