I think his point is that when Trump did something bad, it was all fire and brimstone with you guys. But when it's your guy, you are all, "Oh well. Sometimes drone strikes kill un-intended people. No biggie".

Facts. Duff is the biggest Obama/Biden supporter on this entire forum.

Why would the american government care any more about its citizens when the citizens themselves are apathetic towards one another to begin with?

Americans are the embodiment of the "fuck you, got mine" mentality

Citizens are not paid by the citizens to represent the citizens. Government is elected to represent all it's citizens, and only it's citizens, and has an obligation to those citizens who are paying them to represent them.

How individual Americans act towards each other is, within legal limits, none of the government's concern. How the government supports it's citizenry is of utmost concern. When the government treats foreign nationals more favorably than the citizens they're elected a paid to represent, it's a corrupt tyranny enriching itself off racketeering, not a "democratic government".

But your govt is comprised of people selected from this pool of incredibly selfish citizenry. Why would you expect anything other than what you have now? Do you believe trump cared anymore than Biden?

The fact that this has been effectively swept under the rug despite major media investigation is an example of the travesty of modern times
We can have front page news cycles for a week if a native american guy bangs a drum in a kid's face, but the US drone striked an NGO worker giving water to poor families and killed 7 children, then lied about it and impugned the dead aid worker as a terrorist.

Biden and the White House got more attention to give them credos for taking out a terrorist than backlash for it turning out to be a lie and actually killing children and a charity.
They simply get to walk away from it like nothing happened. They won't get hounded at press conferences, this won't dog them endlessly and mire them in scandal, there won't be fingerpointing or inquests or a congressional investigation.

In a sensible world, this is the kind of story for which generals should have to resign, for which heads should roll in the military and the commander-in-chief should at a minimum be in damage control. Making a military mistake is bad. That mistake slaughtering children is horrifying. But lying about it baldly and taking a victory lap and impugning the people you killed? That's the kind of malfeasance that should carry serious consequences.

What makes this even WORSE is reading into how it happened

Even after the situation in afghanistan imploded, Biden simply abdicating his responsibilities as commander-in-chief, everyone in the white house stayed on vacation and there was complete silence at the top while chaos ensued. These drone strike operations were being delegated to military command with no input or oversight from the white house operations, no president sitting in the war room calling the shots. I grant you that after Obama micromanaged the military, Trump take a more hands-off approach- but Trump was there on deck when important moments and chaos were at hand. He oversaw the raid on Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, he oversaw the strikes on Syria. Biden had his first test of military crisis and was completely absent and left it up to delegated authorities who went out and bombs a group of school children and aid workers.

Wat

This has been our MO for decades. Why would members of the military have to resign for killing the wrong people in America?

First, as with any job, if you are not doing what you are paid to do, you need to be fired. If you commit crimes in your avoidance of doing your job, then you deserve to be prosecuted.

Second, perhaps you're right, and it's time to stop bothering with government. Once it becomes clear that government is your enemy, what's the next step?

The government isn't the enemy, the people are.
