But fender is, aside from his usual obnoxiousness, largely right on this issue: this equipment was largely the stuff with which NATO armed the Afghan military. It was never the plan that these useless fuckers just surrender to the Taliban in spite of holding a big numeric and technological advantage, letting all of this equipment fall into their hands..
