My interactions with police have usually been negative, whether it be a small inconvenience such as getting pulled over for doing a rolling stop at a stop sign, or more significant hassles like getting taken to jail for underage drinking.

This is pretty typical though, isn't it? For most people police are just guys who hassle you for silly stuff like minor speeding. This national myth that being a police officer is some heroic calling has always seemed ridiculous to me. Sure, occasionally they manage to protect people or catch bad guys, but most of the time they're just hassling people for bullshit.

it would be considered harassment. in a free society cops are supposed to leave a person alone if there is no probable cause. unless your in a bogus joe biden world where cops are randomly supposed to throw people up against a wall and frisk them

i never made any comment about your topic i have only shared some of my experiences. so there is no "conundrum"
