Seems like you're just basing it on social cues then, and not the actual biology of the person, since you aren't doing a karyotype to see their chromosomes or doing a genital inspection.

the point is that they're passing. you can't tell that that guy actually has a vagina. for your method to make sense you would have to inspect every single person's junk

Adam apple? Man. Thus giving me key information on that person gender without inspecting his junk. Happen to have both sex from birth? I'll excuse myself. It happens.

You don't need to be top 1% to know how to recognize a man/woman from cues.

Then where's the issue? Doctors see your junk when you're born which is why they add "F" or "M" on your birth certificate.

F = Female
M = Male

and if you aren't looking at them from the front? Or just can't tell because they've got a fat neck, or they're wearing something that obscures it like a scarf? Or how about everybody just tells you they're intersex. How would you tell who's lieing?

It's far easier and requires less assumptions and hoop-jumping to just refer to the small minority of people as what they want to be referred to. It's not like our gendered words have always been the same, or that other cultures haven't recognized LGBTQ people.
