It's definitely possible that information outside the video could change my mind. But what I have to go on right now is that the officer went into it thinking it was a felony traffic stop (perhaps wrongly so).

A nitpick that doesn't drop the performance below the inevitable amount of human error

Once the driver didn't comply with the request to exit the vehicle, it was open season for the use of verbal negotiation tactics, including aggressive ones.

They started with guns drawn and pointed.. before he was even asked to comply to anything.
I would have driven to a police station the moment i saw these idiots with their guns out and demanded they be arrested, and here in australia they would have lost their jobs.
You do NOT have to comply with illegal actions, he had a right to question the police.

If you're claiming that "a cop asking a driver to exit the car" is an illegal request, that's an interesting twist to the conversation. I'm sure neither of us cares to take the effort to actually dig through that state's laws to investigate your claim. If that's what this whole argument hinges on, then I feel pretty confident letting anyone who reads this thread develop their own opinion on that issue.

Again, you do not have to comply with an order until you find out if its a legal order in the first place.
The traffic stop has to be legal to have any right to demand you exit the vehicle.
He attempted to ask the police why he was being harassed and was met with aggression.

If successfully argues in his court case that the order was illegal, good for him. But the video didn't show any evidence that the order was illegal.

That was felony stop procedures for a speeding ticket. Felony stop means you don't approach the door, you draw your weapon, make the driver keep both hands outside the window so they can be seen - because you have reason to believe the driver is a wanted felon or engaged in felonious activity. This driver has every reason to fear for his personal safety. The cop probably got pissed off at him because he pulled into a well-lit area (which is his right to do) rather than immediately stop like he wanted him to.
