the pseudo intellectual crowd love to talk themselves into a hole and i just like watching them dig.

i tend to avoid all political convo irl unless its with people i already know well and can trust that it wont turn into some ridiculous moral lecture

my main HH group before covid had such a diverse group of politically different people (all smart and do well in their fields) and at the start of HH its spirited debate. after 3-4 drinks its youre just a commie or a fascist lmao. just like the internet but with drinks and irl interaction

It is imposed and voluntary at same time depending on the law and the country you use.
Taxation is helpful/works with competent government and incompetent mob. If the corrupt or incompetent use it then it becomes a tool of enslavement rather then prosperity
