A purely infrastructure plan would be totally doable with $1 trillion. I'm guessing half is pork.

The bill has $200 billion to "create affordable housing" - the only states without affordable housing are Democrat states.

These types of projections almost always fail because they negatively change the future in which they are hoping to take advantage of.

Not even close. The absolute minimum we needed 10 years ago was 2 trillion.

I think the debatable things are elder care which isn't really infrastructure. That's flat out people care and I think we should raise taxes on everyone for something like that. We ALL benefit from having subsidized elder care IMO but you need to sell it to the American people.

Subsidizing the care of elders is part of the reason why many people never have kids. Its an issue I have mixed opinions on.

Why would it matter what party has the states that need affordable housing?
And am i wrong in assuming the majority of people also live in those areas?

You don't need $200 billion to create affordable housing. Simply lower minimum lot sizes, setbacks, easements, and then allow alternative living setups l ike ADU, THOW, etc. Then the supply part of our housing issue becomes a surplus.

Could even go further and get rid of some trades licensing nonsense which bloats price.

that guy doesn't have a single clue what he's talking about.
Most are D cities yes.
Reason is the economies are booming and being developed at a rate that lower wage earners cannot afford to live there.
It's not rampant "communism" it actually rampant capitalism that is displacing and removing affordable housing.
