Nobody "came" for Dr. Seuss....nobody was canceled.

This is a private company putting a halt to their 6 least profitable books. In the process they say it's because of the content (which some is definitely questionable) in this specific books. As a result, people are too stupid to realize THIS DOESN'T AFFECT THE OTHER 38 DR. SEUSS BOOKS and therefore everyone goes crazy buying all Dr. Seuss books.

Win/win for the company. The only losers are people that are too dumb to realize what's actually happening. Nobody was "canceled" lmao.

i mostly agree, but if the content from his 1930s books is "questionable" then Ebay should stop selling basically all rap albums ever. and im not even talking about the boilerplate drug rape and mistreatment of women, most rappers are super anti gay and anti asian.

i dont want this to happen, but the standards for benign 1930s cultural references being higher than 2000s blatant homophobia and racism is laughable.

no, but sixers endorses it if it is real, as do many other people. im fine talking about cancel culture in the sense of endorsement on most topics. mainly because companies regularly have financial incentives they're acting on that are out of step with the moral justifications of the populace.

if it's not ebay im sure it will be some publisher, some nationwide book store, some libraries, etc.

Canceling everything seems to be the perfect solution to our problems.

So the answer to those low information morons is yes, dr. seuss is being canceled for books he made 70 years ago when that kind of talk was culturally "OK"

Instead of using the language to learn from they rather erase it from existence. Corrupt people in power do not like individuals capable of independent thought. Which sadly many on this forum will never understand because it's much easier to be told what to think and they prefer that.
