Bro Harambe left us too soon.

On another note a better question would be if you had a robot and it only can do one thing before it ran out of battery either make you a sandwich or scratch your nuts. That would be way more important

Wow, sure are a lot of people who aren't brave enough to answer the question.

Self-driving cars will be commonplace eventually. They will cause less accidents than human-driven cars. They will need to make determinations in scenarios such as these, even if you find this specific scenario unrealistic or oversimplified. And humans will have to decide how they're programmed to act.

What’s your choice and reasoning?

I wanted to share, but I also wanted for other people to share theirs before I did.

Choose most human life years. Expected.

A young child will live more years than 2 elderly people combined

Good thing your opinion doesn't matter

Car should hit whoever is in the wrong. If the kid jumped out in front, why kill someone else who avoided the car with more care to begin with?

Mommy always said look both ways before crossing the street

So you both agree with Nathan then--in terms of the outcome. Your rationale may be different though.

Do you find it important/relevant that the child is in the crosswalk when they're not supposed to be?

Agreed with them. A child is not always to be expected to know right from wrong, and their lack of a right to be in the crosswalk is more than balanced by the life-years saved by hitting the elderly victim. Of course, I consider the idea that this is an either-or to be ridiculous. Intentionally crashing into a non-human object like another car is preferable.

Then that would mean by extension yours doesn't either.

It should be noted that you do think my opinion matters, because you've reported me for the contents of my posts in the (immediate) past.

It's ironic because your guild name is "I <3 Haters". Edgelords gonna edgelord.
