Regional interests, & Basically originally it’s because the founders didn’t fully trust the people so it is more election by representative democracy but also because of coastal cities & states would essentially decide the president with no consideration of rural or smaller state interests.

Florida & GA races appear to have Biden in early lead. 63% reporting in Florida & Biden is up 150,000 votes about 2%. If Biden pulls Florida this race is over early but that’s a fucking huge if.
