Biden has events every week, both online and in person. I don't watch them, but I assume he's not drooling or speaking incoherently.

During the crunchtime of the campaign season, Biden does events ....every. single. week.
Wow. I'm in awe at his high levels of energy.

A normal candidate has something like 3-6 events every single day at this point in the campaign. That's what both Hillary and Trump did in 2016, and pretty much every modern candidate before them.

It would be irresponsible to have events every day.

Wrong. You can have events that are safe enough even for the heavily paranoid.

Is 1 event a week perfectly fine but 2 or 3 is wildly irresponsible? Where is the line there?

He may do events every day, I don't know. He went on a train tour after the debate.

We're in the middle of a pandemic, so he's restricted by that. It's true he hasn't had as many events as he could... I don't know how much of that is strategy(avoid gaffes, keep focus on Trump) and how much is fatigue.

A lot of these criticisms would make more sense if Biden was compared against someone normal. Trump by all accounts watches several hours of television a day. He's golfing practically every weekend. He's lazy as fuck as president.

Yes, that's something I can agree with. Trump is not in a position to take advantage of Biden's hunker down at home campaign.
Regarding the "he's lazy as fuck as president" point: shouldnt you Trump-critics be happy with that? From your point of view, the logic should be that the less time he spends actually governing, the better for the country.

There was a stronger argument for that back when 200,000 Americans hadn't died of COVID-19.

Arguably, if Trump had just stayed back, defered to the governors and thrown his HHS (Alex Azar or whatever his name is) to the wolves, the country would be in a better spot. Without leadership from the WH, the response to the pandemic would still be a mess, but at least Trump wouldnt have made things actively worse by politicizing mask-wearing.

So yes, if Trump had just said "fuck that, I'll be golfing", the country would be better off. Arguably, even his own reelection prospects would be in a better spot, as sad and weird as that sounds.

Trump is in multiple states every day.

Its like 5 rallies a week, each with a different speech.

And his entourage is spreading COVID while they're at it.
