It's also odd because I assume Goom, as a self-professed civil libertarian, opposes the war on drugs and some of the aggressive police tactics used in that war.

So often he's defending police in all of these interactions. Maybe this is another area where he's evolved.

Probably bad form because he's blocked, but you see the same thing with Cambo. Throwing aside his libertarian sensibilities in order to align with whatever the tribe thinks. Weird stuff. Isn't it possible to own the libs while maintaining a shred of intellectual integrity?

A few years ago I watched some from a channel called No Bullshit. It was just a guy reviewing south park episodes and I was bored, so I watched it while I played something.

After the autoplay went off of South Park stuff I realized he was sprinkling in obvious bullshit into his political commentary, like really easy to look up and debunk stuff. So I switched off and never went back to the channel.

I recently heard the channel mentioned and thought "Huh, wonder what happened to that", and went back to check. He's now way up Trump's asshole and regularly says shit like "Whites being in charge isn't because we're racist. It's because we're smarter and stronger and have basically built everything, but it's not because we're racist".



Goom's evolution kinda reminds me of that. I interact for a bit, realize he's full of crap, tone out for a few years, and come back and realize he's gone so far down the rabbit hole into obvious bullshit there's barely a point in talking.

At least Goomshill offers interesting points to consider, and despite what some of the salty whiners around here say, he is one of the smartest posters around here on several topics

There's no doubt that he's intelligent. I don't think anyone is contesting that. The issue is that he's deceptive because he only works with a certain set of the facts. His MO is to write a large, convincing paragraph that significantly distorts the big picture. If you don't follow the issues closely, you'll probably think he's a very reliable dude.

I feel like if you do follow the facts closely, people will disagree with you from time to time, no matter who you are
