Ultimately no I don't agree with those actions being a direct translation to creating and living in an echo chamber but I think it is one component involved in steering us towards one. I suppose I'm confused about how you would conceptualize the difference between societal reflection, growth, and change v. moving towards an echo chamber.

In some ways, I feel like your sentiment can be applied to any form of social change.

The intel agencies reported that claim was not credible, and thus discarded. The New York Times doesn't wait for confirmation to write inflammatory stories that could provoke geopolitical conflicts.

Also, if anyone IN the intel agencies is leaking information to the NYT, they should be removed from their positions, and then tried for treason.

We've had literal Nazi rallies in the last few years with violence happening soon after. The August 11th Charlottesville rally was literally a Neo-Nazi rally.

i'm jumping in here and i know you're talking to gooms but i haven't seen any news about nazi rallies breaking out across the country burning buildings down etc
