Physical harm to uninvolved parties shouldn't be a question of moral validation. If the left tries to justify these actions, then that indicates a broken moral compass by any sane person's standards. Inciting violence against a shop owner is the same mentality as a petulant child throwing a temper tantrum. "Because someone else did something evil, that means I can do something evil as well." I vehemently oppose and stand against what the cop did; why can't the opposing side do the same when it comes to looters?
"the left" doesn't exist as a specific person, group, or set of ideals. It would be me akin to saying "if the right tries to justify police violence that indicates a broken moral compass by any sane person's standards" because Ghot is doing exactly that in this thread. Still, I wouldn't actually be talking about a group that actually exists. I'd just be talking about an imaginary boogeyman I've made up.
Unfortunately, the business owners and other citizens aren't totally uninvolved, and that's the shitty part about living in society. You become at least partially responsible for your public servants and for being vigilant to make sure that when they do something wrong you hold them accountable.

Not the cops bro...the bad guys.
Aus was like the second most armed first world country before they did their massive buybacks. I wouldn't be surprised if there are still a shit load of guns on the streets in Aus. Not as many as America obviously.
