Yes this is old. But at least you're not one of those trying to smear the US on every single opportunity. I agree with her that Klansmen are deplorable but that pissed some people off.

Obama's guns and religion comment was WAAAAAY worse despite also being 100% true.

of couse it pissed people off, mostly because it's true. the part that i don't buy is that it somehow drove people to vote for someone they fundamentally disagree with - then they would not have been insulted by the comment in the first place. its just snowflakes being snowflakes.

It really shouldnt be difficult to understand that insulting your opponent is different from insulting your opponent's voters.

Btw, the reason why Obama's "religion and guns"-comment and Hillary's "basket of deplorables"-comment were so disastrous is that they confirmed what white, rural America had been suspecting anyway:
that Democrats feel nothing but disdain for them and that they cant expect their issues and interests to be of importance or priority to Democratic lawmakers.
