i was on my way out of a mall with my wife yesterday not too long after making this post and a similar incident occurred at the entrance to a mall we frequent.

bare in mind this is in china:

there was an old fellow sitting at a table checking people's temperatures as they came in. These two guys approached the threshold without masks on and the old guy told them they couldn't come in.
did they pull out knives and stab him to death as most of you morons think they might have done? no. they asked him where they could get masks. the old fellow pointed down the street to a pharmacy and said something unintelligible. then the two guys thanked him and left in the direction of the pharmacy. it all happened in about 5 seconds as my wife and i passed through the doors.

i was immediately reminded of the story i had read, the one i posted here, and thought sadly about this poor guy Calvin Munerlyn. the guy leaves behind a wife and children. sad, sad state of affairs.
