On my way to Georgia cuz I really need a haircut

Hahahaha, literally was just complaining about this - so much regrowth im almost tempted to colour it myself.

Ps; Im from New Zealand - we're currently on level 4 lockdown - noone in or out of my house for nearly 4 weeks now other than my husband has been lovely and done the food shopping for us.
We're moving to level 3 next week Tuesday. I'd rather have stayed on lock down a little longer, but, trust our government knows what it is doing. Level three allows more business to open, with very strict health and safety. Food places can do take out only. School will be open for students from year 10 down I believe it is? Also daycare.
A lot of people still on edge about it all..

My mind is perplexed by those who want lockdown over - or never wanted a lockdown - it's very simple really - stay home, save lives. Stop being so selfish - lockdown isnt forever - death is.

Good. These shelter-in-place orders represent another transfer of wealth from the young to the old, all for the sake of saving more Boomers' lives. Millennials taking another hit for the Boomers, sacrificing their jobs for the health and safety of senile retirees that rape them at the ballot box, and the old consolidating more of the wealth and property share from the young.

Does Kemp have a brain? He may just be high because it's 4/20. IDK. Of ALL the places you could choose to reopen, he chose the WORST ONES. These are all VERY social places he is reopening: gyms, fitness centers, bowling alleys, beauty shops, salons, barber shops, and body art studios? DOES HE EVEN READ? At a gym, people use equipment one after another and talk and BS--especially back in the locker room. A massage therapist? How the heck are they supposed to practice social distancing? Will they massage from a DISTANCE? What about barbers? Will they cut hair from a DISTANCE?? How about nail salons? What about bowling balls being reused between people? This is happening in FOUR days?

Good God. No wonder the rest of the country thinks Georgia (my state) is a bunch of ignorant hicks. Some of these politicians should just be tossed in a jail cell. Thanks to this guy, we are probably going to see a huge rise in infections which will inevitably cause more unnecessary death. Incoming second wave.

I live about 10 minutes from the CDC, so I'm mostly surrounded by educated individuals. Apparently, Kemp isn't even as educated as a kindergartner.

Economic damage and death are intertwined. That's the point. Which do you consider more important - death due to corona virus or death due to economic damage? Can you ignore the massive spike in suicides or domestic violence?

When people are hungry they will do irrational things.

That's great that you are not impacted and have worked remotely, you are blessed in that regard. The majority does not enjoy that luxury. I'm not sure what an activist is. What do you advocate for? 22 million people were laid off in the past 3 to 4 weeks. What do they do? If the paycheck doesn't come, they do not eat, or are displaced.

Look, I get it. These are uncomfortable questions. But they must be debated and answered by the public. At some point we have to balance risk versus the economy.

Life expectancy actually rose during the Great Depression.

No it doesn't it just puts a dent in the check books of the 1%.

You said it yourself that the poor in our country have it too good. Now all the sudden people will be dying in the streets? I don't think so. You sir are hysteric. You should contemplate getting a hysterectomy done.

The other day on 4/10 over 2000 people died from covid in the United States.

I just googled how many people died because the economy is shut down and nothing is really popping up.

yes only the 1% are suffering right now and it’s only financially that they are suffering

unemployment never caused an increase in suffering (including death) according to you

im sure you came to this conclusion given your self-confessed fact that you are “loaded” and thus it’s your checkbook that is hurting and everyone else here (or anyone else not in the 1%) has ever been affected by economic downturns

nice little misogynistic anti-science rant there too :bonk:

Maybe you should read my post again and look a look at more closely at the words you might understand it a little bit better. Also consider the posting history of the user I quoted.

He doesn't give a shit about other people lol. Hasn't before now anyway. Why all the sudden the compassion?

180 IQ take right there ^_^

That being said, Kemp is indeed an incompetent buffoon. Always has been, and it shows again with these ridiculous orders that make no sense.

As much as it pains the little hyperpartisan inside of me to admit this, but "Trump Republican" governors like Kemp and DeSantis really suck at handling the coronavirus while "traditional republican" governors like DeWine are doing a great job.
