i'd say their pride hasnt changed. theyve been 100% proud of trump since he said rapists are coming from mexico in 2015. impeachment, nepotism, pandemic, crashing economy, etc. nothing will change their pride.

clearly there are lines he cant cross, but most lines can be moved. not only that but his administration has a way of using propaganda to explain how even though its not what you were sold on its still good for you.

"a massive taxbreak for all" became "small taxbreak for most, but big for business. so your jobs are safe and the stock market is booming"

"we'll dismantle obamacare and make a better system" became "we undid the mandate, so you wont be fined, and everything else is the same. but really the mandate was the problem all along"

"China/Mexico/whomever is gonna pay" becomes "tariffs are good, and will make american business stronger"
