Yes there was definitely nothing else going on in Russia in the early 1900s. It was definitely abortion that had all of the change in their culture. You're trying to simplify complex cultural shifts into a single issue and it won't be convincing to anybody with even the most modest knowledge of History.

Hell it's even written about in the Old Testament. If you think a woman has been cheating on you then you take her to the temple and give her a poison. If she aborts it means she was unfaithful.

The Russians made it legal in the early 1900's and it destroyed their culture within fifteen years. The same way we see today: divorce, alimony, orphans, single moms.

In the end of that situation, Russia outlawed abortion and the problems went away - at least for awhile until recently when it was legalized again.
