Well... I know the law was quoted numerous times by numerous agencies and media sources, back when the BS first started with N Korea, after Trump took office.

After Trump won the election, and N Korea started getting antsy, Congress was seriously upset about that law. They even tried to change it without proper methods, but couldn't because of the Senate.
I KNOW I posted reuters articles at the time, with that information in there.

/e The topic was War with North Korea.

Goggle the law and post it. Thing with positive law it has to be accessible.

I gave you the topic, the place where I already posted it... multiple times. I mean ALL the media sources were discussing this, cause they were worried that Trump would go off half cocked.

As Merlin said in the movie Excalibur... "It is the doom of men that they forget".

/e Found it... the 1973 War Powers Resolution... is what gives the President the ability to deploy troops w/o Congressional approval.

Not a fan of SA. Their brand of Sunni Islam is responsible for much of the radicalization & terrorism so fuck them.

That's not the point. The point is there was a time when Democrats stood against war, they don't nowadays. I remember as a kid rooting for Democrats because they didn't want to go into Iraq. When Vietnam war was happening i think many left-leaning people did the right thing to protest the war. The good old days when Democrats stood for things of value instead we get you pussies crying about microaggressions.

Huh? Literally every candidate on the debate stage agreed we should leave Afghanistan. Biden said pulling out of Iraq under Obama wasn't a mistake. Biden wants to end our support for the war in Yemen.

In general, Democratic politicians are less interventionist than Republicans. They support getting out of Syria and Afghanistan, they just want it executed in a competent way, which Trump isn't capable of doing.

Believing in invisible creatures who are all powerful...naw.
I think there are a few things, we have learned as humans, that everyone should try and adhere to, for the sake of ourselves and each other.

No killing, unless absolutely necessary for self defense.

Yet you support terrorism that your country does in countries of Middle East and Africa?

In a competent way is code word for taking 20 years to actually leave. Troop deployment to Afghanistan spiked under Obama to 100k soldiers. Now grant it, he did eventually dwindle down those troops to under 10k and wanting to completely take them out by 2016. I find it hilarious though that a eventual complete withdrawal was the plan under Obama yet 4 years later Trump wanting to fulfill that plan and low iq lemmings just parrot mainstream media points which can always be reduced to trump bad.

Pretty much everyone in this thread keeps skirting around the facts I mentioned about Hillary. Your ‘in general’ claim doesn’t hold true according to recent history and unless someone like warren or yang wins I have little faith in them following through on their non interventionist pledges.

You guys dismiss any valid criticism of Trump as Trump bad, uncritically.

There's valid criticism like selling the Saudis weapons or supporting the war in Yemen then there's the TDS criticism like 'Trump is withdrawing troops irresponsibly' even though that's exactly what Obama planned to do 10 years ago

No... it's more like if we're going to leave Syria, let's not randomly announce it one day without coordinating with our own government and allies, but then backtrack days later. Or let's not sabotage the Taliban peace talks because you want some reality show moment with the Taliban at Camp David. Or if we're going to give KJU legitimacy by meeting with him, let's get something out of it, and not bizarrely praise him for months afterwards. Just because Democrats criticize Trump for his blatant incompetence doesn't mean they disagree with the underlying decision to engage in diplomacy or withdraw from conflicts.

And yes, Hillary was an interventionist. Obama was more of a cautious interventionist. Parties are capable of changing.... Republican voters went from electing Bush twice to choosing an isolationist.

The Taliban talks collapsed because there were two suicide bombings one which was near the US embassy killing 22 people. But yes Trump is sabotaging talks with them with reality show talk. This is exactly what i'm talking about when i and others say TDS. Your fixation with Trump on things that barely tangentially have to do with him is so obvious. The bold is a prime example, it's like you're a news novice and have no grasp of cause and effect instead you reflexively go for Trump bad.

Don't have the energy to expound on the other points but they are only slightly less silly as the above one.
