yep

rip in peace to everyone who died today because of this

we’ve died now 6 times since drumpf was elected as President:

stock market not crashing after his election
net neutrality decision
withdrawal from paris accord
tax cuts
peace negotiations between sk and nk
and now iran deal withdrawal

we also all died when he bombed syria for chemical weapons the first time
and died again when we bombed them again
don't forget how everyone in hawaii in particular died to north korea

so the israeli lobbyists really got what they wanted

not shocking since trump talked about this for a while, but a terrible decision
iran is actually one of the very few muslim countries that are somewhat reasonable

according to our intelligence agencies, the sunni jihadis in Syria were democracy-loving pro-western helpless victims of a brutal dictator
according to our intelligence agencies, saddam hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction with active uranium enrichment programs and spooky aluminium tubing.

Iran hasn't been actively supporting 'terrorists' since what, the 1970s or 80s? Their support for Hezbollah and helping prop up Assad isn't the same thing as supporting terrorism, and certainly less than the Saudis do with sunni islamists
We only accuse them of terrorism because of our alliance with the saudis. There are greater geopolitical interests and international diplomacy behind the kayfabe and propaganda we push

Regardless of Rouhani's puppetry status, Iran has made concessions in their dealings. It is only fair that we do the same. I know that doesn't rub the right way with the more Machiavellian Republicans, but you kinda have to if you want to avoid another pointless war in the ME.

It isn't like Iran is an actual threat to the USA. They might beef with Israel some, but Israel's had it coming for quite some time now. Israel does deserve one lesson in humility. There are very few who could even mount a threat to the US, and most of them are tooo dependent on the US or allied with them.

Iran had no leverage, the deal gave them $100 billion and access to markets.

War between Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia is in no one's interest, if Iran can't understand its limited role in the world, it needs to be reined in.

Looks like we'll pull out of the Iran deal.

The question I have for PaRD(and Trump supporters especially), what's the alternative to this deal? It seems to me that this is going to force us to confront them militarily in the near future. I thought you guys didn't want more war?

This is a hawkish move by Trump, plain and simple.

Good.

and at the broadest strokes, the only leverage Iran really had was the west's unwillingness to get its hands dirty to stop their weapons program. Unlike North Korea with China protecting it, Irans isolation meant their only bargaining chip was how little stomach we had for bombing Iran or much less invading Iran. Obama was willing to give them major concessions and stupid amounts of money just for a temporary respite. Now that we're returning to the previous status quo, can we really say Iran is actually on any faster a path to nuclear weapons? If Mossad is picking apart their operations and their centrifuges keep exploding, will they closer to nuclear weapons 7 years from now as they would with the wealth and infrastructure development our lifted sanctions was giving them? Its not such a given that the Iranians will be in a rush to reestablish a nuclear program knowing it can provoke western intervention. That's what happened with Iraq after all, Saddam knew his country was too weak domestically and the risks were too high, so he didn't even try. Not that it stopped Bush & Cheney from killing him anyway.

I've said before, the Iran Deal held some real calculated pragmatic value for our long term interests of leveraging Iran against the Saudis. But the threat of the persian gulf going nuclear is too much, and our alliance with the house of saud is too firm. I said at the time that Obama only accomplished the deal because of how overextended the saudis were, and now that they're back and juiced up once more, the collapse of the Iran Deal might have been inevitable. I just expected it would be Hillary ending it.

Again, this has nothing to do with nuclear energy or power. It's about oil and gas infrastructure and geopolitical stability.

I think Trump is a bumbling moron, but this isn't really a bad outcome for now. The real fun starts when gas prices climb 50 cents because of it. Wonder who the GOP will blame for that.
