Here's a newsflash: the stated opinion of Republicans and Democrats is that we should arm the Ukrainians. Hillary was no different, and her hawkish position is superior to Trump's. In a real administration Russia would suffer consequences for their interference in our election.

I keep asking myself whatever happened to the democratic party that was anti-war? The democrats that were so adamantly against the Iraq war are either no where to be found or all of the sudden have turned hawks under the "we can't let Russia have Syria" or " Assad is a brutal dictator" banners. Seems like the neocons have taken full control of both parties and the thing is, no one is even mentioning this.

Trump hasn't shown any signs of sabre-rattling against the other world powers yet at all, and keeps repeating he wants to get along with russia.
Hillary was an extremist war hawk beyond virtually any of the other republicans or democrats. You could throw darts at a map of the middle east or asia and she's threatened it

Trump's foreign policy is still far from being hammered out. After all, it took Obama a good chunk of his first term before the Obama doctrine was set in stone- and most of that gets chalked up to him following HRC's moronic advice on Libya, which is probably the point at which Obama decided on the 'don't do stupid shit' and stopped listening to her from there on out. Now Trump is only a matter of weeks into his first term, so its hard to say where he'll wind up, but all he's indicated so far is he's continuing the Obama doctrine of airstrikes, albeit with more delegated authority, less tensions with russia and more with china (maybe?)

If I put a scale of 0 to 10 where 0 is a crippled dove and 10 is a roided up hawk with a vulcan cannon gripped in its talons, then rand paul was a 1, obama was a 3, trump is so far a 3, bush was a 6 or 7 and hillary was a 9
At least bush had unprecedented casus belli before he went to his first stupid war, only the second one was truly manufactured. Clinton was treading on nuclear powers.

I think it's time to be debating about how to work with Trump, to ...make America great again...so to speak.

Trump is the President, that's a fact.
The US and PaRD can spend the next 4 years fighting Trump's philosophies, or trying to work with those philosophies.

Striving for impeachment will just put Pence in office. I don't think anyone wants that.

The time to worry about things was way back when the nominations were occurring. I still can't believe that the best nominees, that we could come up with were Trump and Hillary.

I think we need to rehash the method used to arrive at a choice for nominees. That's where we failed.

Anyone who thinks Russia doesn't constantly cyber attack and try to influence American affairs 24/7 365 days a year are delusional.

China does it as well.

Ever since the rise of the Internet , the powers of the world have been cyber attacking each other. And espionage has been between Russia and the US has been occurring since the early 1900s.

This is nothing new. The only reason China isn't treated as the same as Russia is because China for the most part has been improving relations with the US and their overall trajectory as a country has improved over the years.

Russia is on a downward trend and there's been nothing from both sides that would result in a more beneficial relationship.

The fact people want to create this narrative where we should be trusting of Russia is preposterous. I mean some people are a little much with how crazy they go. But Trump shouldn't be trying to appease Russia. He should be getting the ear of the CIA related security experts on how the US goes about preventing Russia from influencing the US any more than they do. And we should be seeking to strengthen NATO and strengthening our allies in Southeast Asia.
