Considering we have the most strict vetting process of any other country that's a bit unlikely. Could still happen, but honestly we're much more likely to continue having home grown terrorist sympathizers.

Trump will get his way regardless i think. When one of these acts happen it will be political suicide for any politician that tries to stand up and defend against a ban. Draconian laws always get an entrance in times of crisis. It'll be similar to the decision to Invade Iraq or the Patriot Act.

The odds of an attack actually occurring from someone from one of those countries is infinitesimally small though.
