Your girlfriend/wife or sister/mother might not be able to have an abortion even though that's a Constitutionally-protected right, simply because you live in west Texas and that's in the 5th CCA's jurisdiction, and Texas' politicians think that you just shouldn't be entitled to the rights that everyone else are entitled to, because reasons. Or maybe you get fired for being gay, and because you live in Tennessee you're under the 6th CCA's jurisdiction and you get a shitty panel draw at the CCA level so your company is able to get away with it. Maybe your mechanic in Louisiana won't fix your car because he has "a religious objection" to your lifestyle.
These people, and I don't like to treat them all as one bloc of religious voters or actors because they're not, have created a different, lesser standard of justice in parts of this country. They've gotten like-minded electeds in office and those electeds then do everything they can to force those backwards-thinking views on the rest of us, even as the rest of the country is surging forward in trying to find equality.
The women I associate with aren't so morally depraved that they would get an abortion.
I suppose you can compare those districts with the sanctuary cities who don't enforce immigration policy. Yes, some Texas women are cursed with the responsibility of not killing their child... what a travesty. I'm sure Kate Steinle would of preferred that as opposed to dying of a gunshot wound from an illegal immigrant who had been deported multiple times. Local districts put in place lawful restrictions where they can.
