I really don't care about the immigrants waiting to get in. A bunch of people are here now, and we need to do something with them. Searching for millions of people and shipping them across the country is unreasonable. It would require a massive effort of manpower and money. It would tear some communities apart and it would alienate many Hispanics. Can you imagine the media coverage? CNN cameras covering deportations every day for months and months. Horrible global publicity. It's just a bad idea all around.

You are against legal immigration (or at least don't care about them relative to criminals) and are fine with illegal immigrants because punishing people breaking the law would be difficult? Justice should not be strived for because it requires effort? That's pathetic.

I don't look at incoming legal immigrants and think the country owes them fairness. We need to solve the problem and deporting millions is not reasonable. It's unjust.

It is absolutely just to deport illegal immigrants as they broke the law. How do you define justice? Should punishing criminals be based on whether or not its convenient? Should the law be ignored if it's a little difficult?

If it's a shitty law with racist roots and enforcing it would punish a bunch of people for working within a system we pretty much intentionally turned a blind eye toward because we like cheap tomatoes, then yeah, we should probably ignore it. The problem is more than 'a little difficult.'
