But, since he was a six-year vet, it's probably safe to assume he stayed his hand out of fear of causing another media crisis.
And of course, the people around didn't rush to help this officer, who's action reflected the ideal of BLACK LIVES MATTER, allowing harm to come to himself before moving to harm an African American. No, this man who tried to play ball and treat uncivilized people civilly was rewarded with bodily harm and openly mocked on the street and later on the internet.
