It has happened before to me too... I forgot to lock my door, I heard him rustling the door, and i hopped up and had my gun in my hand. He came through the door, and saw me standing in the doorway of the next room (didn't show the gun, it was just on the other side of the wall) and he freaked out and was super apologetic and left. Not everyone breaking and entering has a criminal intent.
