There will always be terrorism and there should always be a common enemy and that should be the world not just the usa however just because others don't react doesn't mean we shouldn't lead by example.

That just a silly statement, take into account the insane amount of social programs in many of the higher GDP per capita European nations. Thats social freedom? regardless of your stance on the social programs they by definition draw funding straight from your pocket reducing your economic freedom.

On top of that many of the same countries have much higher living expenses than the US.

The argument for quality of life is very existent but freedom i would have to heavily question. We lost to plenty of countries in social and economic freedoms, but i would love to see (and maybe move to) a country that skates the line between both like us.
