Crimes ? Not paying a student loan because there was no job to be had could land you in prison..You think Americans commit more crimes then the rest of the world?

that wasn't the implication. i meant put more money into education and factors that contribute to things like crime

Being free to steal money from banks isn't "freedom". Besides, your original point was based on the number of people in prison, and somehow I don't believe there are record breaking inmates who were unsuccessful college students.

No, it doesn't. Maybe education will teach people to steal more effectively, but moral values about why it's wrong to steal and hurt one another comes from the home.

And you really think drug addicts start using because they were never taught that drugs are dangerous? LOL, how is education going to stop that one?

Listen you... People get paid to land others in prison...We will put you there if we get have a chance, for that bonus from private prisons handed out too judges and police...Prison gards all vote as a group, they a political force now there is soo many of them. just look at the amount of prisons and why people get put there...I don't think they over populated with gang members and killers...I would not doubt if most of them there for not paying a ticket or smoking a joint.

Have you ever been to a prison? Do us a favor; visit one and interact with some of the people there, then let us know how many of them were helpless victims of society.

Some of my friends landed in prison, i went to work...When they get out, most of them say they going back soon lol...They can't handle it out in the world anymore and know it is just a matter of time...Something is wrong with this. We might as well brand them like they did to slaves in spartacus... Once we learn they a felon they cant get a job usually..
Sure we need prisons but for those who will cause harm to others or steal what is not thiers...Loans at your own risk bad credit should be all there is not prison.
Once we imprison people for a loan the loan company is the one policing us. You can't take a eduaction back from someone if they don't pay a loan..Soo they say they own you now? You are the property of the Loan holder who paid for your education...Better make them a profit or they will imprison you!!
