Sure there is, for a just law, justified by the social contract. And laws aren't for the weak...quite the opposite...laws are made by the strong.

A law is a species of command in which some evil will be visited on one for not complying. If you can't force somebody to do something then there is no law.

A law is a way for the powerful to interact with the weak at root, and if one is unwilling or unable to visit evil on somebody for noncompliance then it simply a wish and not a command.

So laws are for the strong.

I didn't sign any social contract nor do i have any interest in one.
Laws are not from the strong, they are from a collective of the weak who band together to not be victimized by the strong.
