I'm glad we have a constitution to protect us from democracy.

Right?

The point of the second amendment is to protect yourself against a oppressive government, and thats why it was created. You need to arm yourself to have a say in the outcome. Muskets or bows have nothing to do with it.

I view it more as 40 people murdered by people who certainly shouldn't have had a weapons as such.

I'm against weapons for any other purpose than hunting.

You can make whatever argument you want, I don't really care. If it weren't for my girlfriend's family living in the US I'd never set foot there again.

This is your domestic issue, but from an outside point-of-view, you look retarded.

Gun Control works just fine here, as I'm sure it does it most countries that have implemented it.

Highest kill rate was done with hand guns.

No, he's actually right. It's a well documented phenomena.

I won't comment on the other assertions, as they've been addressed and proven otherwise in the past.

Lead poisoning destroyed Rome too. They put lead shavings in their food for seasoning and stored their wine in lead casks.

This, I find this study pretty hard to swallow given how commonly lead was used for food, make-up and just about everything in the 19th century.

Now who is generalizing?
You will note crime was actually falling in late-Victorian London despite the stereotype. See Jose Harris, Private Lives, Public Spirit: Britain 1870-1914.
