The point of the second amendment is to protect yourself against a oppressive government, and thats why it was created. You need to arm yourself to have a say in the outcome. Muskets or bows have nothing to do with it.

Lead poisoning destroyed Rome too. They put lead shavings in their food for seasoning and stored their wine in lead casks.

This, I find this study pretty hard to swallow given how commonly lead was used for food, make-up and just about everything in the 19th century.
