the founding fathers wanted to ensure america would stay safe from tyranny through the ownership of guns.

owning guns is a liberty americans are proud of.

why take that away?

Because you're a moron if you think guns can protect you against modern weaponry.

Because being disarmed is an even better option. I'd rather have a peashooter than a "no-shooter", if that situation ever came to pass.

And society is paying a high price just so you can feel better.

Yet we also have no idea how history might have played out for us without the 2nd amendment. As far as I am concerned, the price is necessary.

What might have been in the past is no argument for today. Today, civil rights are eroded, the government is corrupt as can be, as are the police and the courts in many instances. And all that without a shot fired. So the gun toting fools are of no use for their actual purpose and the public is paying the price and getting nothing but death and mayhem in return.

taking away that right erodes our privilege as americans to be free.

some people are crazy enough to fight for what their fathers knew was true.

it is equally crazy to fight what those people know is true.
