I watched the video. I'm not a real fan of the whole tone of it. That struck me right off the bat. It took a while to form it's premise which was very vague at first. All in all it was a creepy view of things. I don't know how I feel about a lot of it, very mixed I suppose. Too much fear mongering for me for the most part but it ended on a nice note.
The reactions in this thread have brought up some retarded emotions. Who knows if it's "true?" And as stated earlier, of course "the singularity" isn't possible with current technology because we're not there yet. But science builds on current technology so current technology ALWAYS leads to future technology. I thought this was obvious, but hey... I'm not here to judge. Anyway, some of it came off as load of shit to me, some of it is worth swirling around in my philosophical wine glass for a bit. It's interesting at least because it surely has some varying levels of truth to it, just as it has varying levels of fear mongering and assumption-making.
All in all, an okay way to spend an hour but definitely not an easy one to swallow.
I know right, now if it had just had some magic mushrooms or novelty, it would have been 100 times better right?
