Sure you can, and Islam expanded most rapidly during its first few generations through outright conquest.

if you dont want to read up on it, thats your choice. All you will be doing is spreading more lies to people as unware as you are.

And like I said, Islam is spreading by far faster than any other religion. No conquests needed anywhere, in fact the opposite is happening (or trying to happen).

"tsk tsk I took you for an intelligent one"

If people are saying that to you on a regular basis, does that not mean that they are re-evaluating their opinion of you?
Meaning that they no longer think you are intelligent?

Oh yeah, I misunderstood you. I guess I lose my intelligence status again :(

Thought you were trying to insult me.

While you're partially right, I wouldn't go that far.

no the Bible is not God's word.

"God's word" is a stupid assocication of words anyway. Probly made by stupid people.

you will find many other such stupid people, though ... having read the Bible is no excuse for lack of education. Or lack of brain. Or lack of faith.

It's clear that God favors Islam, because it is spreading somewhat in the modern world after being stuck mostly in the Middle East and had its followers buttfucked by the West for the last several centuries. This is proof of God's blessing, guys.

Also, it's clear that God favors Christianity, because it's spreading somewhat in the modern world after being stuck mostly in Europe for centuries and only spread along with widespread colonization, spreading it all over the planet. Clearly, that's God's favor, guys. Clearly.

Also, it's clear that God favors Discordianism, because virtually every other religion has no shortage of people who are trying to be completely fucking ridiculous with thier beliefs.

Never heard of the missions?  The Spanish certainly did their part here on the West coast.

Amen.

Central/South/North America doesn't really matter when you look at the grand scheme of things.  Europe would remain Christian regardless of the "West".  And, for the record, religion really wasn't spread through conquest in Europe either--there was legal coercion, to be sure, but not a bloody revolution.

I will admit that I know little about the "missions" on the West Coast. From what I have read in the past the native americans were the one's doing a lot of the attacking. They saw the priests as shamans who were spreading disease throughout their land. Also, the soldiers who were there to protect the missions were raping the women of the tribes. Again, nothing to do with the "mission".

Yeah you're pretty much wrong on all counts. The Spanish came as conquerors, looking for gold. They forcefully took over the native villages (raping, pillaging, as you said before) and enslaved them, forcing them to convert to Christianity and do manual labor for them. There was no "optional" about it. The entire point of the missions, from a political perspective, was to gather slaves to mine/pan for gold. From a religious perspective, it was to teach them the way of God--no matter what they wanted or how many lives they had to end to do it. After word of the Spanish starting these missions, I have no doubt that the Native Americans started to attack them on sight.

the old testament is totally irrelevant to christians
except where its relevant

And here is where your own Bible refutes you:

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. / Matthew 5:17-18
