would make more sense if god was the set of all numbers real or imaginary

the way i see it, god is a vague answer that doesn't really provide any information

There are a lot more numbers than just real and imaginary numbers.

Natural numbers and whole numbers are the same thing.
Natural/rational/whole/irrational are all real numbers.
Sex numbers are usually natural numbers (eg 69)
Power level numbers is something I'm pretty sure you just made up.
So I don't think you really expanded the list much if at all.

I know there are more real numbers than there are integers, but are there more complex numbers than there are reals? I would say there probably are, but they're both uncountably infinite sets of numbers. So I don't have the mathematical background to find out, nor do I have the actual level of care required to Google it that much.

@The bold. This is exactly what my concern is. Are you suggesting there aren't people who use god to answer most, if not all questions they have about the world? Did you think your Impressive display of common sense would distract from your total misunderstanding of an analogy?

I mean exactly what I said. Ultimately they are right, that every question in the world can be traced back to God making it possible, but that's like responding to a question like "Why did Hitler start the Holocaust?" with "Because his mother and father fucked a few decades before." They aren't wrong, but it's just too general of an explanation.

I think if you want to try to lure someone of faith into some trap you created while smoking pot and had a "light bulb" moment, you should take some heavier drugs to help yourself become more creative first.

There are the same number of real numbers as complex numbers.
The complex numbers are basically a plane, so |C| = |RxR| = |R| (finite cartesian products don't change cardinality)

The wording of "more numbers" gets very confusing when talking about infinite sets lol.

I still remember back when I first learned how to prove that .9999999(repeating) = 1... that's when infinities first started fascinating me.

I think it was alcohol not pot.

Weren't you just saying you were thinking of getting a physics degree, and you already understand linear algebra? Quantum mechanics has a fair amount of linear algebra in it. You should be fine.
