Literally wrote a manifesto with all right wing talking points, all of his targets were dems, time to join reality.

I think an important point that non-Minnesotans won't recognize, not being familiar with local politics-
Melissa Hortman was not high profile. She was the house speaker but not a firebrand, not controversial, most Minnesotans only vaguely aware of her. She was not a household name, she was not an Ilhan Omar or Tim Walz. John Hoffman was even more of a nobody, in fact I had never heard of him before today. I guess I've seen election yard signs with his name while driving. Hortman is not even as well known as other more controversial state congressmen who have contentious races and lots of ads. After the election there was wrangling over the disputed results and seat that was disqualified, and Hortman was briefly in the news as the Democrats took measures like walking out to deny quorum, but even with her tiebreak deal last week she was not a well recognized figure or lightning rod .
If you had a list of 20 Minnesotans you thought could be assassinated she probably wouldn't make it. Healthcare executives, controversial politicians and judges, CEOs, celebrities, whatever.

His wife was pulled over and had a gun, ammo, cash and multiple passports in the vehicle.

So what's actually up with Minnesota in particular? Why is it such a hotbed of leftist terror? I understand the Pacific Northwest completely (they're bums) and why it is such, but why Minnesota? How did it come to this? Is the population more craven? And why?

Cmon Man are those really questions?

Q1 - Father's Day today is what's up.
Q2 - It is? - We made some headlines with Floyd, but I didn't see Minnesota hitting ranks like some east Coast and west coast places.
Q3 - Rich white people spreading their divine philanthropy from the high tower of Minneapolis and a couple echos in Duluth and Rochester (Destination Medical Community blackmail).

As someone who started career in the Twin Cities and now lives very rural, the general problem in Minnesota is the politics of the big cities. Minneapolis wanted to be Portland or Seattle when I was living near. St Paul is completely different.

Rochester hosts progressive Mayo Clinic and their entourage, a wonderful guest who surely didn't blackmail the state for money match.

Duluth used to be hub for mining and lumber, since the cities exported industry ending regulations, now it's a progressive tourist hub and college town.

So, not entirely sure what your precise question is, but the progressive policies of Minnesota are exported from Minneapolis to the rest of the state. Gold standard, one size fits all. That's why we subsidize rich kids meals in huge elite suburbs when my district in a poor mining community
can't afford Friday anything.

Thank you, I appreciate you answering the question even though it was prefaced with snark :)

I did not know much about Minnesota other than 3M came from there, mining and materials. The hollowing out of industry & resources combined with an influx of JB's into Minneapolis largely answers my question - that is, given that Minneapolis is disproportionately large with respect to the rest of the state (is it? Similar to Chicago).

My second question is why haven't you guys done anything about it the past many decades? Going along with it to make shekels, as you've displayed here, makes you part of the problem. Here in Western Canada we have staged multiple peaceful rebellions over the decades, with them all crushed or infiltrated by the JB powers in Ottawa. The "conservative" party today was the result of infiltration, which has been controlled oppo ever since. Has Minnesota even tried?

I've written on this forum (not this thread) things I have done in my state and local jurisdiction, I'm just a simple white privileged man, no one listens unfortunately. I thought the education inequities one would land home with DFL but nope.

If I had more free time I would participate more in some of the conservative groups. Each elections seems pretty close here IMO. The house was riding the fence blue and red.

Generally, I think we all do what we can and it can be disingenuous to assume otherwise.

Afterall, how much time does a low income working man have for advocacy after working for the man and raising the family? Younger college kids and older retiree, and jobless have tons of time for this endeavor
